Todd G. Allen serves as Deputy General Counsel for the Kentucky Department of Education. Todd joined the Kentucky Department of Education’s Office of Legal, Legislative & Communication Services in 2014. Prior to joining KDE, Todd worked for four years as an associate attorney in the Lexington office of Landrum & Shouse, LLP, where he practiced civil litigation, including defense of school districts, officials and staff. Todd earned his J.D. from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 2010, and a B.S.. in Accounting from the University of Kentucky in 2007. He currently serves as the Program Chair for the National Council of State Education Attorneys, and previously served as the Chair of the Kentucky Bar Association’s Education Law Section. Todd is originally from Meade County and currently resides in Lexington.
