Alexis D. Rodgers, M.S. UK School Psychology Doctoral Student
How is your stress level, especially now that the new school year upon us? A collaborative research team from the University of Kentucky and the University of Louisville is currently recruiting parents of children aged 3-12 on the autism spectrum. The study involves participation in an 8-week parent training and support program, with sessions which focus on understanding patterns of behavior, decreasing problem behaviors, reducing parent stress, and improving parent behavior management strategies. Families will also be reimbursed for their time and participation.
We will also have an open forum discussion on the new school year and the anxieties and concerns that go along with this “adventure”.
