The date is set for our walk. It is July 10th at Keeneland. We would greatly appreciate anyone who wants to volunteer, contact businesses, or help in anyway.
We need help in the following areas:
- Asking businesses that help kids or adults who have special needs to set up an information booth at the walk.
- Finding food vendors.
- Finding entertainment....such as a DJ, ponies, face painter, bouncy castles, etc.
- We need LOTS of items for door prizes and raffles.
- We even need small things like pens to register people with.
- We need a place that is willing to donate signs/banners or give us a very good deal on them.
- I am having flyers made to hang up and hand out. So anyone interested in assisting in getting them out all over the state, please let me know.
- We need businesses to partner up with us and exchange for this we will advertise on our flyers, T-shirts, and web site.
- We need water donated, tables, and tents for the day.
- If you know a church or school that has youth groups that would want to help out in anyway for credit with the scouts or a school club.
If you have any ideas for the day please let me know. Our kids deserve a day to have fun and be the individual they are. A day to celebrate our kids. I wish it to be a day they can play and have a chance to experience things we normally would avoid. We can all get together, have fun, hopefully learn something from the information booths, and make new friendships.
